I have been looking for the perfect work and party shoe. I finally found it at Saks today, The Prada sling back bootie. It is everything I can ask for in a shoe: SUEDE, 5 INCH HEEL, AND STUDDED.

Before I looked at the price, I took a deep breath, I knew it wasn't going to be easy to digest. $750.00! I quickly put the shoe down and pulled myself away from the shoe salon at Saks. As I was walking home I stopped by the Steve Madden store to see what shoes they have copied this year....and there it was, a copy of my Prada Sling Back Bootie. The Steve Madden, Carmenna shoe looks exactly the same, just doesn't cost $750.00. I rarely buy Steve Maddens, but Steve Madden's version is identical to the Prada ones. For $109.00 I had to buy them. What a bargin!!! Wow... am I happy that I didn't splurge on the Prada Booties. With the hundreds I saved, I can take myself out for a yummy dinner at Bobo, wearing my sling back booties.

I am already planning outfits to wear with my new sling back booties.

OBSESSION DU JOUR: Leather Shorts

Leather is one of Fall's hottest trends. From jackets to shorts, everyone is always adding a touch of leather to their everyday ensembles. Leather shorts are the new alternative to leather pants. With the weather changing, wear leather shorts with black sheer, opaque, or to spice it up a little wear it with lace tights. Leather shorts can be worn so many ways, you can keep it simple, by wearing loose top or a fitted tank under a black blazer. Or get really creative by wearing it with feminine pieces (like Ashley Greene). For day, I would go more gunge, wear leather shorts with a chunky knit sweater, sheer tights, and flat combat boots.

 

Gywenth Paltrow - I love how she wears her leather shorts with grey suede lace up booties, it is a perfect finish to her ensemble.

Ashley Greene wears her leather shorts with a flowery blouse. I am totally feeling the contrast between her girly top and rocker leather shorts.

I am obsessing over these red leather shorts!! These shorts caught my attention, I might have to get them. Wearing them with over the knee black suede boots make this outfit more irresistible. I think I have died and gone to fashion heaven!!

Leather on leather: This is a great day look, I really like the oversized scarf, it really makes this outfit standout.
