ZARA SHOWS NO LOVE

Flowered Zara bag bearing a Nazi swastika.

Have a look at what Zara is offering...

It's too bad they have such nice clothes.

Zara has been openly anti-Semitic for a long time, even though it has a high sales turnover in Israel !

When threatened by an Arab boycott Zara eliminated the Israeli flag from its label with flags from other countries. As well, the shekel logo was eliminated from the price list in other countries.

You decide if you should continue to shop at Zara.

  1. Actually the swastika is also a Hindu symbol denoting good luck. Do your research next time.

  2. regardless if a swastika denotes good luck in another culture, a swastika is WIDELY acknowledged as an anti-semetic symbol.

  3. i can't help but be reminded of the boycott on the Passion of the Christ. i wound up going to see it, and as a person of jewish descent, i didn't feel for a second that the film was anti-semitic... only that it was a violent piece of hollywood garbage.

the swastika may be widely associated with the nazi party since world war II, but the symbol has been around for literally thousands of years, and is still widely used in eastern religions like hinduism and buddhism.

this bag says "happy sunshine" to me, more than it says "kill jews". boycott zara because the bag is ugly, but is it anti-semitic or an extension of nazi policy? i doubt it...

why not contact ZARA and see what they say about it before calling for an all out boycott.

besides, it's the only place i can find a suit that fits me...

  4. Eric, as a person of Jewish descent I'm surprised that you don't see how tasteless and abonimable this is on Zara's part despite the symbol's relevence to other cultures. In AMERICA and Europe people recognize a swastika as a violent symbol against the Jewish people. Maybe before you try to discredit the writer of this blog, you should consider that your reasons for defending such a irresponsible act by Zara is purely selfish on your part (because "it's the only place I can find a suit that fits me"). I think more Jewish people would agree that this is a disgusting and reckless act by Zara, despite their feelings about the other merchandise the company offers.
