SPRING FACE: Beauty Lesson from Liz Marz

Liz Marz, the head makeup artist at Arrojo Salon (west village, ny) gave me some great tips on the makeup for this spring. Liz is a very talented makeup artist, her feelings are less is more and enhance your true beauty with the right colors. Here is what I learned from her:

SPRING FACE
Soft Skin with a statement lip
SKIN- To create the flawless porcelain-like complexion, I like to use Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation. It gives a dewy finish as opposed to a matte look. (Sold at Sephora)

CHEEKS- Corals are gonna be hot for spring so to create a nice coral flush. I suggest Les Tissesges de Chanel Blush Duo Tweed Effect in Tweed Corail brushed all over cheeks started from the apple of the cheek and up the cheek bone toward the temple..(Sold at Saks fifth Avenue).

EYES - Keep the eyes pretty, yet simple. Create a bright eye using a Nars's Camargue Duo Cream Eyeshadow. This shadow creates a sun kissed look because of the cream consistency. To apply brush the gold on lid and smooth brown over crease to create depth to the eye. Line the eye with some black or dark brown liner, i suggest liner by Blinc because its long lasting and effortless to remove. Lastly, throw on some mascara (I'm a huge fan of maybeline great lash mascara). (Nars sold at Saks Fifth Avenue or Sephora).

LIPS- Make a statement with your lips this spring. The hot color for this spring/summer is going to be orange. Think tangerine, orange sherbet, coral, gold-orange, peach, and blood-orange. Check out juicy melon lip gloss by Giella ( Sold at Arrojo Salon).

  1. Thanks for the hot tips. I love that you gave me exactly where to buy these products. I'm a little nervous about the tangerine lip color though - thinking of passing on that particular fashion statement this year. Lol.

  2. I love orange, and peachy lipsticks. Do you think that all skin colors can wear the orange tone lipsticks? Thanks for the wonderful advice on making Spring a new beautiful adventure. I love shopping at Sephora. Thanks for passing on the new make-up trends, especially to the middle aged women!!!
